I experimented with a lot more  skin care items in 2024. My favorites were a few of the skincare products because they make my effects more noticeable. I use it on a daily basis. I have oily skin which is  shiny or greasy appearance especially in the T-zone (forehead, nose, and chin). Enlarged pores Frequent blackheads whiteheads  or acne breakouts. Makeup may not stay in place due to excess oil. I suffered from over oil production i used many products in the last year, and i follow a proper skin care routine I explain below. Caring for oily skin involves managing excess oil production while maintaining skin hydration and health. Here’s a simple skincare routine:

Morning Routine:

Cleanser

Use a gentle, foaming cleanser with salicylic acid, glycolic acid, or benzoyl peroxide to remove excess oil and prevent clogged pores.
Example: A gel-based cleanser.

Toner (Optional)
Choose an alcohol-free toner with ingredients like niacinamide or witch hazel to minimize pores and control oil production.

Serum
Apply a lightweight serum with niacinamide or hyaluronic acid to hydrate and balance oil production.

Moisturizer
Use a non-comedogenic, oil-free, or gel-based moisturizer to hydrate without making your skin greasy.
Example: A moisturizer labeled “mattifying” or “for oily skin.”

Sunscreen
Use an oily-free, non-comedogenic Sunscreen SPF of at least 30. Gel-based or water-based sunscreens work best for oily skin.

Night time Skin care

Cleanser
Double-cleanse if you’ve worn makeup or sunscreen during the day:

Start with an oil-free micellar water or cleansing balm.
Follow with your morning cleanser.
Exfoliation (2-3 Times a Week)
Use a chemical exfoliant with AHAs or BHAs to unclog pores and remove dead skin cells. Avoid over-exfoliating to prevent irritation.
Example: Salicylic acid or lactic acid toner/serum.

Treatment Serum
Incorporate active ingredients like retinol (for acne and anti-aging) or azelaic acid (for redness and pigmentation).

Moisturizer
Apply the same lightweight moisturizer as in the morning to lock in hydration.

I come to conclusion based on experience that a proper skin care transform your skin much better. Skincare is particularly important for oily skin because it helps manage excess sebum production, prevent breakouts, and maintain a healthy skin barrier. Taking care of oily skin not only addresses current concerns like acne or shine but also helps maintain skin health and resilience as you age. A consistent routine ensures that your skin looks its best over time.

Prioritize yourself is not an option; it is very essential to everyone. Because when you prioritize yourself, everything around you will get better as a consequence, but first you need to get better. Many of them are blaming themselves and the external environment. If something is going on, it’s always we blame this or that for that. Not looking at ourselves, we are trying to change our environment. Why shouldn’t we change?. Because we are not looking at ourselves, we don’t care about it. Self-love and self-respect are very essential.

If we don’t love ourselves, then who loves us? asking a question about what you prioritize most? How many of them answer that I prioritize myself? It is rare because everyone depended on others and their feelings, not their own feelings and their self. We are setting aside one’s own will for the sake of others. Example parents put their lives on hold for their children and forget their own lives. If you don’t live your life according to your desire, then who will?. Exploring yourself and prioritizing your happiness and joy. Prove yourself to yourself, not others. And very important is that judging and comparing you with others definitely ruin your self-respect. Everyone is unique, so don’t blame yourself for believing in yourself first. Here are steps to help you prioritize your self effectively.

Acknowledge your worth

Remember that your happiness and well-being are in your hands. The worth you found in yourself is your actual worth; nobody can measure it. Prioritize yourself isn’t selfish. It is very necessary for personal growth and healthy relationships. Choose more compassionate self-talk improves your self worth.

Define Your Priorities

Defining and categorizing your priorities helps you to find what truly matters to you. Vision boards and journaling help you to prioritize and romanticize your life. Do whatever you like to improve your physical and mental health. Schedule activities that brings you joy.

Set Boundaries to Prioritize yourself

Learning to say no is the biggest flex; avoid overcommitting to things that drain your energy, so enforce your boundaries with others. Give yourself time to slow down. Give up criticizing yourself; it stems from a lack of self-worth and confidence. It makes the others around you think that way too.

Take Care of Your Physical Health

Definitely health is wealth. Taking care of yourself is the stepping stone of prioritizing. Take care of your physical health, also improving your mental health. Prioritizing your sleep is essential for physical well-being. Aim for 7-9 hours of quality sleep each night. You must do workouts to fit and healthy body level up your confidence. You can find an activity you enjoy, even if it’s walking. consider it as a part of your daily routine, like brushing. A balanced diet boosts up your mental and physical health. So nourish your body with healthy, satisfying food.

Nurture Your Mental and Emotional Health

Mental health and physical health were deeply connected. Engage in activities like meditation, journaling, or yoga to stay grounded and nourish your mental well-being. Talk to friends, family, or a therapist when you need help seeking support. Remember, sharing with those who never judge you and evaluating you sharing with that person feels like home. Quality time is very important. It’s not just for your loved ones; give quality time to yourself engaging in activities that level up your skills. Dedicate time to hobbies or activities that bring you happiness.

Managing Your Energy, Not just Your Time

Set high-energy projects as a priority: Work on significant personal objectives when you have the most energy.Prevent burnout by not overcommitting yourself and by taking regular breaks.
